The exhibition gallery is available from mid January until mid August and the walls of the restaurant are available over the whole year. The restaurant is open every day except Christmas Day.

The walls of the restaurant have been divided in the past into 5 separate areas each occupied by works from different artists. In 2006 these same spaces will be offered for a 12 month period with a small commission payable to Cromford Mill on any works sold. Sales in recent years have been encouraging and are spread across the year.

Anyone interested in exhibiting in the Restaurant should send an expression of interest with photographs of recent works to Sarah McLeod at Cromford Mill. The closing date for applications for 2006 is October 31st 2005.

Exhibitors will be selected on the basis of providing visitors to the restaurant with a variety of material all of which is of a high standard and priced reasonably.

The Exhibition Gallery on the other side of the yard in Building 1 offers an area which is almost square (approx 27 x 28ft) and which is well lit. It is on the ground floor and there should be no problems with wheelchair access. Over the past year the gallery space has hosted works by groups of local artists and individual shows. It is available by the week on the basis of a donation to the Arkwright Society of at least £100 for each week (or part week) occupied. The Society is keen to promote Art at the Mill and if details are provided to meet the appropriate copy dates, exhibitions will be publicized in this newsletter.
