Accounts Assistant

The Arkwright Society is a registered charity (no 515526) concerned with education and conservation of Industrial Heritage at Cromford Mills. It has recently started phase 1 of a major £ multimillion building restoration project and is seeking a fulltime accounts assistant to join the busy team.

The Society wishes to recruit a bright, thorough individual who can adapt to a variety of tasks within the accounting function. A working knowledge of payroll is a must and knowledge of sales and purchase ledgers an advantage. The individual should be computer confident and a working understanding of Sage would be helpful.

Office Manager

The Arkwright Society at Cromford Mills are seeking an enthusiastic Office Manager to provide secretarial, administrative and human resource support to the General Manager and Chief Executive. The post holder will also be responsible for frontline support, guidance and advice within the new Creative Cluster facility, helping to create a customer focussed service to tenants, visitors and enquirers.

You will be competent with MS office software, possess excellent organisational skills and have proven ability to work under pressure. You will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills. This post is full-time with a salary of £18,700.00 and is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

Education Officer

The Arkwright Society are seeking a full-time Education Officer to develop and implement all aspects of education at Cromford Mills and establish the site as a recognised centre for heritage learning. You will have a recognised teaching qualification, a minimum of 3 years teaching experience and knowledge of heritage education and interpretation. The post is full-time with a salary of £25,000.00 p.a. This position is part-funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

General Manager

The Arkwright Society is seeking an energetic enthusiastic General Manager to direct all operational aspects of its activities in support of the organisation’s business strategies, in particular providing project support to the Cromford Mills Masterplan including the “Creative Cluster”

You will have experience of general management and management of services, possess excellent planning and logistic skills, understand financial data, have a broad understanding of the tourism/ heritage/property sectors and be able to work under pressure.
The post is full time with a salary of £30,000.00 and is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
