Visit to Hampton Court Castle, Herefordshire

With considerable generosity the owners of Hampton Court have agreed to slash the price of our once in a lifetime trip. Yes that means each couple can now join us for just £325 PER COUPLE – a fantastic deal.

The castle was home to Johnnie Arkwright and family until 1912 and this year the current owners are holding a special exhibition to celebrate the Arkwright’s in Herefordshire.
The castle is not a hotel though it boasts 24 luxurious 5 * bedrooms which are only normally available to those hiring the entire castle at some very considerable cost.  However, the current owners have kindly agreed an exclusive package for Arkwright Society members and supporters so as to allow us to visit and stay overnight.
The itinerary will be as follows:-
Day 1 – Saturday 29th September 2012
9.00 a.m.- leave by coach for Herefordshire
Midday - arrive at Hampton Court, allocate rooms and meet for light lunch
2.00 p.m. - Guided tour of castle and gardens including the Arkwright exhibition
7.00 p.m. - Dinner in the medieval banqueting hall
8.00 p.m. - Talk on the Arkwright’s of Herefordshire by Catherine Beale, author  of Champagne and Shambles
Day 2 – Sunday 30th September 2012
9.00 a.m.- Breakfast
Morning free to explore the castle grounds, river walk etc
Midday - Light lunch
1.00 p.m - Depart by coach for Cromford
If, as I now expect, demand for this trip outweighs the room numbers available we shall put on a second trip leaving on Friday 28th September and returning on Saturday 29th September.
The total cost of this trip is NOW just £325 per COUPLE based on two people sharing. This includes all travel costs to and from Cromford, meals, talks and tours and overnight accommodation.
Having recently been a guest at Hampton Court I cannot recommend this trip enough, the castle is absolutely stunning and to stay overnight in such a luxurious setting was a real once in a life time opportunity.
