Dunsley Meadows

In August 2003 the Arkwright Society purchased the Dunsley Meadows. This was an act of rescue for the seven traditional meadows. The management plan for the woodland and in consultation with English Nature is well in hand. Work in the meadows has begun. The late summer saw parties of volunteers removing the intrusive Ragwort. Future plans already feature another new challenge for the society managing cows! Grazing will be a key element in the new regime.
